Darmstadt spielt 2025: A Cozy Board Game Convention in Germany

Like last year, we attended Darmstadt spielt 2025, a family-friendly board game convention in Darmstadt, Germany. Unlike larger conventions like Essen Spiel, this event focuses on playing games with friends and family in a relaxed and welcoming environment.

The Cozy, Friendly Atmosphere

What we love most about Darmstadt spielt is its warm, welcoming vibe. You can borrow games from their library and just start playing in the hall. No pressure, no long waits—just pure, relaxed gaming. It’s the kind of place where you can laugh, and really connect over games.

Compared to big conventions, it feels intimate and personal. Families, friends, and casual players all mix together, and everyone is there for the same reason: to have fun and enjoy games.

Our Games This Year

This year, we brought two of our own games to share:

• Wanderlust – a game all about adventure and exploration

• Fintastic Sea – a strategy game that’s fun for everyone

We had such a blast watching people try them out, chatting about mechanics, and seeing genuine smiles as players discovered new strategies. Huge thanks to everyone who stopped by, said hi, or tested our games—you make events like this truly special!
